The Black Russian Terrier Is Everything You Could Want In A Dog

The Black Russian Terrier is absolutely on of my very favorite terrier breeds! Top 3 I would have to say! They are beautiful, strong, intelligent, athletic, courageous, and tender.
There are many other names for this breed: Black Terrier, Chiorny Terrier, Chornyi, Russian Bear Schnauzer, Russian Black Terrier…
…But one thing remains the same…They win 1st prize for being a well-rounded breed! A companion, worker, herder, hunter, protector…the list goes on and on…
They were originally bred to be guard and police dogs, but with it’s extreme affinity for people, it is a wonderful companion dog through-and-through.

The Black Russian Terrier is a breed that was “engineered” by the Russians shortly after world War II for the specific purpose of producing a strong, fearless and hardy working dog that could withstand the rigors of the cold Russian winter and would be a strong and formidable protector.
