Tiaras for Your Dogs?

Posted by Kimberly on 31st July 2009

In the Pink Dog BarretteThat’s right! Who doesn’t have a prince or princess for a dog?

I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t think their dogs are absolutely precious to them…

Who doesn’t say, “Awww…” in that high pitched tone when they see a little girl with a princess outfit on complete with a tiara?

Well, how cute would that be on your pooch?

I know, I know…even though some of our dogs who we feel are princes and princesses, they may not act like one all the time…or even some of the time.

So, for these guys, you just need to call them your royal babies…

For those other pooches, who actually think, feel, act and believe they’re royalty, these are for you!

These are the dogs that turn their nose up at bulk dog food, who don’t like regular tap water in a plastic bowl, or for those that won’t stoop to sleeping on the floor. LOL

These are for all of the prima donna terriers out there in this world!

How cute? I really think our dogs Read the rest of this entry »

Waking Up To a Terrier Face

Posted by Kimberly on 23rd July 2009

Kurious Kissyface 008What an absolute JOY to wake up and see your terrier’s bright, shining face…

…They are ALWAYS so excited to see you – it’s the beginning of a new adventure everyday for them.

Photo left: Our Kaptain Knickknack in the morning, upside down, as usual! LOL

If I’m not ready to actually get out of bed when I am awakened, I cannot even make any eye contact at all with any of them.

It’s like Kaptain, Knosey and Kurious are simply waiting for you to wake up, as if they’ve been awake for hours already, just waiting for you patiently. They’re so loyal and so loving.

Yes, they’re excited to scare the first squirrels of the day in the backyard when they tear outside, but before that, all they want to do is Read the rest of this entry »

I Need a Good Dog Shampoo!

Posted by Kimberly on 22nd July 2009

I just don’t understand it…

Is your dog itching, scratching and stinking beyond belief?

Do you?

Wash your dog one day, just to have the stink return the next?
Wait weeks between bathing your dog because his skin gets so dry and flaky?
Hate bathing your dog because you rinse and rinse and rinse…and still can’t get him completely rinsed?

Need help? Why not try the all natural dog shampoo Dogosuds ® made by Dinovite, Inc.

Isn’t it time for that new dog smell?

Our dogs, especially Sugar, love to roll around in the grass.

The only problem is, there are sometimes special “packages” on the lawn that were left from earlier that they love to find and roll in.

Why in the world they would love to do this, I do not know…

Then, of course, we smell it and have to give them a bath immediately! NOT COOL…but, hey, they’re doggies, right?

DogOSudsWell, in cases such as these, be sure to use the right dog shampoo that is sensitive enough for their delicate skin and strong enough to eradicate those odors!

You’ll want something that helps get that smell out, is all natural, lathers well and rinses easily, but also has no chemicals or fillers in it whatsoever.

For any kind of “bad” smell, I like to use Dinovite shampoo for all of the reasons above.

It’s all natural, doesn’t irritate their skin and is strong enough, even to get that special “package” scent out, as well as the grass stains!

Dog O Suds does a fabulous job at making your dog smell fantastic and smell like that for a while – it’s long lasting. Plus, it’s a natural flea deterrent, which always helps, especially during summertime!

Take Some Time Out Every Day To Play With Your Terrier

Posted by Kimberly on 17th July 2009

Downloaded June 11-2007 071You may think you’re way too busy to take any more time out of your day to do anything…Am I correct?

Well, I’ll tell you what, if you don’t take some time out to smell the roses and play with the terriers, you’ll be missing out on a little thing called “Life”!

Do you spend time watching TV? Do you read before you go to bed? Do you mindlessly talk on the phone or surf the internet?

Be Honest!

Do any of these things really improve your relationships with anyone? When you are on your last living breath, will it matter that you read that extra love story novel? NO!!! Will that comfort you? NO!!!

Know what will? All of the Read the rest of this entry »

Know What Dog Shampoo You Need?

Posted by Kimberly on 14th July 2009

Do you…

Wash your dog one day, just to have the “stink” return the very next day?
Wait weeks between bathing your dog because his or her skin gets so dry and flaky?
Hate bathing your dog because you rinse and rinse and rinse…and still can’t get him or her completely rinsed off?

Is your dog itching, scratching and stinking beyond belief?

It certainly could be because of what dog shampoo you’re using…

…Some shampoos are very difficult to rinse out of their hair and can irritate their skin because of it or dry it out – Imagine leaving your shampoo on your arms all day long without rinsing it off – your skin probably wouldn’t be happy either and it would irritate you!

Also, don’t forget…Dogs’ sense of smell is so much greater than our own – something like 8-10 times better.

Imagine smelling your Pantene, but with an intensity of 10x more powerful all day long! Um, that might get to be annoying too…

DogOSudsNeed help? Why not try the all natural dog shampoo Dogosuds made by Dinovite, Inc.

It’s all natural, keeps your dog flea free, smelling great, lathers up well, and has no extra fillers, perfumes or chemicals in it.

It’s great for dogs with sensitive skin as it uses therapeutic, healing, essential natural oils.

What’s also fabulous, especially in the summer time, is that it removes skunk odors! Phew!!! LOL

Try it out – you may LOVE it!  Isn’t it time for that “new dog smell”? :)

Happy Birthday Kurious Kissyface!

Posted by Kimberly on 10th July 2009

Terrier Newsflash:

That’s right! It’s that time of year again. We have the same birthday too!!!

New Downloads 018Kurious is officially 3 yrs old today – I just cannot believe it – my little puppy is a 3 year old (or a 21 yr old in dog years – WOW!).

She’s getting some extra special attention today and some serious treats for the entire crew, including their favorite – pig’s ears!!!

They are all so sweet – and they all look so confused about what the fuss is – but we all know and it’s a day to celebrate!

What a blessing to have her for 3 years – she makes each day a bit brighter with her in it!

What an angel-girl!

She still lives up to her name of Kurious as she needs to know everything you’re doing and all that is going on…Plus, she loves to give kisses – so, Kissyface was perfect from the first day we got her for her middle name! LOL

She has worked her way into the alpha of the group of 5 dogs here, but she still understands that mommy, daddy and grandma are above her in rank…LOL…

Happy Birthday My Baby Girl – Kurious!!!

Dog Boots for Rain or Snow

Posted by Kimberly on 10th July 2009

Well, I must say, we actually did it…

…We actually bought footwear for animals that don’t actually need them…LOL

Bark’n Boots™ by Ruff Wear

However, when it’s rainy or snowy outside, like it often is in Spring, Fall and Winter in Canada, they can be handy. Even during the summer when you happen to get 1 week of rain! LOL

Now, bear in mind…We have 5 dogs in our Canadian household when we visit – 4 miniature schnauzers and 1 Westie-poo.

For the Westie-poo…forget about it – She hates you even looking at her feet, let alone touch them, so don’t even bother trying with a pooch you have that you know they feel the same way about feet!

For the other gluttons for attention in the household, namely Kaptain, Kurious, Knosey and Precious, they don’t care what you do to them, as long as you’re paying attention to them and loving them up!

Yes, these booties can keep their feet dry and clean, as long as they’re not tearing around the yard chasing bunnies, squirrels, birds or each other, like ours.

Sometimes, they’ll come back to the door with a couple of those booties Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Birthday Knosey Konversation!

Posted by Kimberly on 7th July 2009

Terrier Newsflash:

New Downloads 020It’s Knosey’s Birthday again!

Can you believe my baby is already 3 yrs old? That’s 21 in human years!

She kicks off the line of 3 doggy birthdays and my birthday in our household! Knosey’s is on the 7th, Kurious’ and my birthday is on the 10th, and Precious Princess is on July 24th, with our 10th wedding anniversary in between on July 22nd!

Knosey is such a ball of happiness – so gentle and sweet, but can be ferocious like a lion with the stray squirrels in our back yard!

Knosey got her birthday song, as she loves it when you sing to her, and is all and all happy about all the confusion and fuss about it being her birthday.

I don’t think she’s really sure what we’re all fussing about, but she likes it nonetheless!

Her favorite toy lately has been the balls, Kongs and other toys you can put a treat into – they vex her to no end! She wants those treats and she gets very excited to try to release them as captives in her toys to eat them!

So, every dog gets one in the house to play with today full of treats! Plus, she’s getting a lot of extra special attention today!

She is such a sweet part of my day! I love this dog endlessly! She is such an angel and can’t wait to spend more time with the poochies today.

Yes, she still holds true to the name we gave her – She is as Knosey as ever and “all up in” our conversations as often as possible…Her middle name, “Konversation”, still suits her!

Love you Baby! Happy Birthday Knosey!

Your Dog Shampoo Could Cause Skin Irritation

Posted by Kimberly on 4th July 2009

Is your dog itching, scratching and stinking beyond belief?

Do you?

Wash your dog one day, just to have the stink return the next?
What is terrible right now in our area is that it’s been raining like cats & dogs!!! Our dogs come in full of mud on their feet or grass pieces and that means we need to get out that dog shampoo so they can be bathed or at least rinsed off…Then, sometimes, they get that “wet dog” smell…they can’t help it, they’re dogs!

Wait weeks between bathing your dog because his skin gets so dry and flaky?
Certain breeds of dog, including some terrier, have quite sensitive skin – just like humans with sensitive skin. Every dog is different and their skin condition can change throughout the seasons. If you notice your dog wth dry, flaky skin, it could be from a number of different reasons…Bites, allergies, even a sensitivity to shampoos or conditioners you may use on them.

Hate bathing your dog because you rinse and rinse and rinse…and still can’t get him completely rinsed?
Even when you think you’ve completely rinsed your pooch of shampoo, rinse them one more time to be sure they’re completely free of soap – this can make their skin very irritated, making it dry, itchy and then they can get stinky from any scratches or wounds they may have.

DogOSudsNeed help? Why not try the all natural dog shampoo, Dogosuds, made by Dinovite.

Dogosuds is a natural flea deterrent, gets your dog smelling fabulous for a longer period of time than other shampoos (and from what I’ve heard, it works well on skunk odor), it lathers well and rinses easily, contains 100% pure essential oils that are proven to be naturally healing, and it’s great even for dogs with sensitive skin.

It has no chemicals, perfumes or fillers that can harm your pooch.

Isn’t it time for that new dog smell?

Our Doggies Got their Mid-Summer Groom

Posted by Kimberly on 2nd July 2009

We usually take the pups in to the groomer’s, Poodle Fluff & Puff in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada about 3 times per summer.

We like to make sure our dogs aren’t hot in the summer with long hair and possible mats in their coat.

Debbie & Joan are so amazing…They treat the dogs so well, they do such a beautiful job with a super schnauzer/terrier cut and she is beyond reasonable in price!

Again, all 5 of our crew look so amazing – what little cutiepies!

We typically have them cut as short as possible in the summertime, keeping their fabulous Read the rest of this entry »
