Terrier Newsflash:
You heard me right…
My mother’s miniature schnauzer puppy, Precious, has yet another health issue…LOL…
She is so rough and tumble, that the vet figures she got her little toe stuck somewhere and just got fed up and yanked it, so she could continue playing of course…
She is one tough little girl. She broke her little toe, but whenever we would want to fuss and come over to her, she would pretend as though it was alright, and go right back to playing…
The next morning, she actually yelped walking on it, so off to the vet we went…An x-ray, anesthetic, a cast/splint and a collar later, she was ready to go home…Oh Precious!
Back again twice this week, as she got her foot around the collar to chew on the splint and mess up the alignment of her toe…so, back to the vet for more anesthetic and a new cast/splint, and a larger collar. The site is infected now too, so she is on Cephalexin 250 mg twice daily for 3 wks…Sheesh!
I will keep you updated on our little angel! LOL…She’s still booting around the house, playing as usual…She doesn’t miss a beat, even with the huge collar!

That is the truth…The vet’s been joking that I should have frequent flier miles @ the office…LOL…since we have 5 of these sweeties!

I hope so too…She doesn’t look to be in any pain…and is doing well on her antibiotics so far…Will see in about 2 wks how it is healing up!
